The Radio
Club of Tacoma (RCT) was founded in 1916 and is one of the oldest amateur radio
clubs in the United States. In October of 2006 the club celebrated
it's 90th
Anniversary.

| Every club or organization has it’s “niche” and RCT is no different. RCT is proud to offer educational and training opportunities to anyone who is interested in getting an amateur radio license. Click HERE for TRAINING INFO. | |||

RCT also
prides itself by offering fellowship and camaraderie by hosting many
social events throughout the year such as: Holiday Party/Awards Banquet,
Halloween Party Potluck, Valentines Day Potluck, Mother's Day Breakfast
Event, Yearly Summer Picnic, Field Day, and various Radio Sport Contesting

RCT
conducts general membership meeting twice a month that present technical
programs on amateur radio topics of interest to members and to the public.

Located in the RCT Clubhouse is The Dr F Clifford J
“Doc” Spike W7OS Antique Wireless Museum. This unique part of RCT
houses many old amateur radios- some over 85 years old.

RCT
operates a state of the art
High
Frequency (HF) voice and CW
(Morse code) station and a HF
digital station, VHF/UHF repeaters, and a packet radio node- all located in the

RCT prides itself with a technical publications library available
to club members. The radio and electronics publications include books and
periodicals that span the club’s 90 year existence.

RCT is a 501c3 tax exempt organization
and accepts charitable contributions of used equipment or monies. Also, maybe your employer offers benefits if you participate in a charitable organization such as the Radio Club of Tacoma |
