The latest "Ham
Radio License Manual" book, published by the American
Radio Relay League, is also required- as the class is taught with
the book as a study guide. Although not required or necessary, it highly
recommended that you read the manual before attending any of the class sessions. RCT normally has books available for $30.00.
Contact Stephen Morton, RCT Education Coordinator, for book availability.

The Radio Club
of Tacoma offers amateur radio testing each month on the second
Tuesday (details below). Because of this... the new ham
Technician class is always held the weekend before the testing
session.
The Radio Club of Tacoma is also an American
Radio Relay League (ARRL) affiliated testing facility. RCT
gives amateur radio tests for all classes of ham licenses.
Testing is always conducted at the RCT Clubhouse on the second Tuesday of each month at
7:00 PM. Click HERE for
the needed Volunteer Examiner testing
details. Note: The RCT testing sessions are not limited
to the Technician license class only. Hams can upgrade their
license (by testing), make administrative changes to their license,
and/or get information. Two recommended study links for taking practice
exams are: www.aa9pw.com and
www.hamtest.org
