Officers and Board Members |
Vice President and Secretary, plus Board Member Positions 1,
3, and 5 are elected in the ODD Years (i.e. 2011, 2013, 2015, etc) and
serve at the beginning of the following year for 2 years (i.e. 2012 thru
2014, 2016 thru 2018, and so on).
President and Treasurer, along with Board Member
Positions 2 and 4 are elected in the EVEN Years (i.e. 2010, 2012, 2014,
etc) and serve at the beginning of the following year for 2 years (i.e. 2011
thru 2013, 2015 thru 2017, and so on).
How to be elected to RCT office:
At the first board meeting in September, the club President appoints three
members (who are not already elected officials) to perform the task of being
the NOMINATING COMMITTEE. This committee solicits members to become
nominees for upcoming open officer and board positions.
At the first general meeting in October (second
Wednesday), the results of the nominating committee will be revealed.
Also, nominations for open officer and board positions will be taken from
the floor. At this meeting, the President will appoint an ELECTION
COMMITTEE to manage the upcoming election.
Before October 20th, the Election Committee will
mail a secret written ballot to all club members in good standing.
Members must return their completed ballot to the club by Nov 5 or
personally give their completed ballot to the Secretary at the first
meeting in November (AKA the Annual Meeting held on the second Wednesday).
During this meeting the Election Committee will count the ballots and
announce the results.
