The Radio Club of Tacoma is a nonprofit public service organization serving FCC-licensed amateur radio operators in Pierce County, Washington, and throughout the South Puget Sound region.
Visitors and new members are always welcome! We hope you'll take the opportunity to check in to the club's weekly two meter net, attend a club meeting, sign up for a class, visit the Clubhouse on Saturday, take a turn operating the W7DK radio station, discover the library, explore the Doc Spike W7OS antique radio museum, or join us at one of our many activities scheduled throughout the year.
Next Club Meeting
Wednesday, June 8 - 7:30 PM - General Membership Meeting and Program
See the Club Meetings page for more information and directions to general membership meetings.
Wednesday, May 25 - 7:00 PM - Fourth Wednesday Activity Night at the Clubhouse
This month's 4th-Wednesday Activity Night, May 25th, 7pm at the Clubhouse, will be your earliest opportunity to learn and practice Field Day operation. Get on an actual radio and work actual (simulated) Field Day stations. Put your contacts into the log, and watch the Club's (simulated) score mount ever higher.
This activity is intended particularly for those who have not operated Field Day in the past, but it's also suitable for operators who would like to brush up on their skills a little. Coaching will be available.
The Ad Hoc Committee for 4th-Wednesday Activity Night is always looking for topics and presenters (and a permanent Coordinator). If you have a skill, experience, or insight that you would like to share during a 60 to 90 minute presentation, please let us know. The Committee can assist you with preparation of handouts, PowerPoints, and similar collateral. Contact Randy WB4SPB or Mike W7MWF if you would like to make a contribution to these popular and successful events.
