HF Station W7DK
The Radio Club of Tacoma's High Frequency (HF) Radio Station, call sign W7DK, is located in the Clubhouse. A patch panel allows radio sets at several desks to be connected to transmission lines that feed a tri-band yagi at the top of an 80-foot tower and other vertical and wire dipole antennas. Our 40-ft VHF tower has yagis for 70cm, 2M and 6M.

Club members and guest ops are always busy operating the W7DK station. W7DK is usually on the air at the Clubhouse during open house every Saturday. We also operate multi-transmitter in class "A" for Field Day in June. Station ops enjoy casual QSO's with hams around the world and find time to practice their skills in a number of contesting events throughout the year. You may hear the Mighty 'DK on CW, single sideband, or various digital modes including RTTY, PSK-31, FT8 and FT4.
The operating achievements by the 'DK Operating Team, which are based on thousands of QSO's logged over the years, qualify our club station for a number of operating awards.
