Our club schedules portable operations at state parks. Club activations are open for anyone to come and participate in the popular Parks On The Air program as an activator. We encourage everyone to come out and Get On The Air! 

You don't have to have a portable radio to come out and participate. To join in the POTA activation fun with the Radio Club of Tacoma! All you need is...

1. An account with Parks on the Air (click here for instructions on how to join POTA)
2. A Discover Pass for Washington State Parks (or you can purchase a day pass at the park)
   

Some tips for Club POTA Activators...

• Download and print a crib sheet to record the PARK Number, and as an example of typical exchanges for POTA contacts
• Download and use the POTA FIle Cleaner before submitting your ADI file to the club POTA Committee (Instructions for use are here).
