isolated salmonW7DK was on the air for this year's Salmon Run Contest, September 18 and 19.

And as in previous years, the Radio Club of Tacoma conducted our annual Fundraiser in conjunction with the contest.  Since many pledges are based on the number of counties we work in the contest, we did our best to get a "clean sweep" of all 39, and we succeeded!  Multiple operators worked in shifts, using two transmitters, to maximize our effort.

In 2021's Salmon Run, W7DK made 801 SSB and CW QSOs with 97 multipliers (including all 39 Washington counties).  We missed only Wyoming, Kentucky (what?  KY?), Alberta and Northern Territories.  We worked the big fish with two modes.  72% of our QSOs were on 20M, with 20% on 80M.  And we were pleased to find that 15M opened up enough to make a couple dozen CW QSOs.  Operators were:  W7MKE, W7XTZ, KA7NWF, KD7SV, W2NCC, KA7DCX, N7OMS, WB4SPB and K7PIA.

The Salmon Run Fundraiser is one of the club's major sources of revenue, helping to keep the lights on and the property maintained.  If you haven't pledged yet, there's still time.  Please download our pledge form, then make your contribution using one of the following methods:
