The Radio Club of Tacoma links our repeater system to several external and special-interest nets throughout the week via AllStarLink. These links allow our local members to participate directly through our repeaters or remotely via our AllStarLink and EchoLink nodes. Stop by and join in!
Operating Notes for Linked Nets
- Pause Between Transmissions: Always leave a 2 to 3 second pause before keying up and after pressing PTT. This gives internet audio links time to establish and allows repeater controllers across multiple linked nodes to unkey and reset their timeout timers cleanly.
- Automatic Node Reset: Our node runs a scheduled macro daily at 2:00 AM PT to cleanly disconnect any active or lingering external links.
- Remote Club Access: Operators outside local RF coverage can access these nets directly through our AllStarLink node 68688 or linked EchoLink node W7DK-R (515469).
